Returning back to work safely

Coronavirus has changed the way we live and work. The world has been turned upside down. Businesses are having to adapt quickly and to change the way they work.

With new government guidelines coming in place, it is important to understand what part PPE plays in your return to work. Keeping your most important asset safe 'your staff', should be your number one priority.

The first thing businesses need to do is to carry out risk assessments for all employees returning to work. The assessment should follow government guidelines. You can find more information here:

When considering PPE for your staff you should think about the types of activities the staff carry out. Whether they are in office space or shopfloor. For example if they need gloves, you should consider what types of gloves. Are they wearing gloves to stop spreading the virus through their hands or touching contaminated surfaces?

You should communicate openly about changes and ensure that all employees are catered for. Remember PPE is just a part of your return to work plan.

OSIRIS PPE works with many clients across the UK and we help them with their PPE requirements.
